The Silverado 1500 3.0L Duramax Diesel Engine Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tip from Chevrolet Performance enhances your truck's good looks with an upscale Carbon Fiber accent, lending some OEM-quality race-ready styling to your ride! GM Engineers performed 25 cycles of 3-stage corrosion chamber testing to validate the Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tip. The test includes 8 hours of an ambient stage with a 1% complex salt spray, 8 hours of a humid stage and 8 hours of a dry-off stage to replicate extreme conditions and validate each tip for resistance to discoloration and corrosion. Additionally, the tips are subjected to a 2-hour thermal heat soak at approximately 392F for discoloration evaluation.
