TrailReadyParts presents this genuine OEM Jeep Trailer Brake Controller. With the Integrated Trailer Brake Control Module, the driver can automatically or manually activate the electronic brakes on properly equipped trailers for greater stopping power on downhill grades. This Proportional Trailer Brake Controller from Mopar is for automatic or manual trailer brake activation, and handles trailers with up to three (3) axles. The controller and status display are mounted in the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel for ease of use, and the control lever activates the trailer brakes independently of the truck's brakes. The amount of brake force the trailer uses can be customized by the driver depending on load requirements.
PLEASE NOTE:
- For automatic transmission vehicles only.
- There is no kit available for 2019 and earlier Wrangler JL.
- On JL ONLY, if the vehicle does not have sales code ADH, an extra harness Part Number 82216416AA is required (sold separately). No extra harness is needed on JT.
- Gladiator JT's built on or before January 08, 2020 may require an update (TSB # 08-102-20) to update the ABS module with new software. This update will be covered under Mopar warranty. The Mopar trailer brake kit will work without any issue on JT's built after this date.
